I've been waiting for weeks for my front drum break hub to arrive it's been on back order . Working on other projects. But I did recently get this in the mail . May be it will help me ride faster LOL.

I really wanted to use this trussed fork but it came off a 24" bike & the 26" wheel was just to tight .

So I used a nother one I had more of a BMX style it was the wrong color so I had my friend sand blast it for me

I took it to my neighbors welding shop
Today and welded the drop outs they were basically jus tack welded

Also welded me up a slightly layed back seat post . Took a old post & cut the top off to fit the clamp . Then welded it to the old school 5/8 sold steal seat post .

Let me put these bars in prospective
I may have to cut these 36" bars down a little.

Ride with them before you cut them, my 02. The ones at mine, at 32" ended up perfect for bmx feel on the frame I used. I thought they were long till I rode with them and now I wouldn't have it any other way.... 36 isn't much wider. 2" more per side.

I agree ride before I cut, I actually thought they were going to be 32" but they are wider then expected. Typically I use 29" wide Bars on my mountain bike . On single track trails these 36" bars

may be like long horns between the trees .

Understand fully, gotta fit the trail you are riding.

I did catch some tree branches on the singletrack a couple weekend ago. Downhill, took the corner a bit too fast. I May have it on video, come to think of it... o_O I put that one on operato error. ;-)

G, my moto-x bars on the Mesa Buggie are 35 1/2" wide. Of course, no single track tree riding in the desert. And all the cactus seem to be spaced at least 36" apart, so I'm good. Your bike is coming together....watching...and waiting!:wink1:

Originally was going to use use a one peace crank . but I a had a three piece crank & BB . So I figured what the heck sealed is smother & faster . I order a conversation kit from Niagara bikes 18$ shipped . It fit perfectly.

Also I thought I would throw some shine on the Hiawatha. Sealed in the rust and some of that old blue paint someone put on at some point in its life . I stripped off most all the blue but left just enough as it is part of his DNA .
