Pretty sure it's over on April 1st. And no, I'm not joking.

Well guys looks like I blew it on getting this bike built & finished on time . I got to busy at work & other projects . Also I ordered a sturmy archer front drum brake from bike bling .com on the first week of January. It was on sale at a great price but it was on back order & it finally got shipped out yesterday so I still don't have it ya 3 months!!!!!! The wheel set I was going to use wouldn't work so I found out another set up in the attic . I gave them to my buddy that works at a powder coat shop 2 weeks ago I haven't got them back yet , they also anodize so I took a chance . I gave them to him to anodize blue . I haven't got them back yet .
But I can't complain because they were basically free.
Any enough excuses but I will get brave heart finished & look forward to beating on it . When I do I will update some finished pictures . To everyone else great job on all the sweet
Klunkers.....[emoji109]

Build offs are fun, but the deadline sometimes makes it tough. Looks good so far though.

You'll get it done right, and I will be waiting for your post when she crosses the "Finished Line"

great job thus far--better to build what you want verse throwing something together that you won't be happy with.

Exactly my thoughts this one will be in my collection for a long time so might as well do it right. Just wish I was on the ball and got it done on time for all to enjoy....

I also found a sealed bearing head set I forgot I had . I decided to modify the bearing cups . They were a little bit to tight to fit inside the cups . A die grinder did the job nicely . It going to be smooth steering now & sealed from water & dirt ....[emoji109]

Brave didn't go down with out a fight ! I was just in hiding until the dust settled. . As the smoke disappeared he came riding out with vengeance...
I just wish I had my wheels done last week so I could have finished on time .....

This iron horse rides like a dream . Can't wait to get him out on the trail . This will be in my herd for years to come & look forward to many camping trips with it !

G, you nailed it! I just saw your final posts this morning....that is a klunker done right! Your bars, fork and seatpost...what process did you use to get them all the same color? I will be anxious to know how you like the Nexus hub..8 spd? That front drum brake is cool as well. Put that second pic in the new Klunkers & Mountain Bikes forum in Other Bikes and add your build thread....this needs to be seen and appreciated! :41:
