This makes my fourth, I had a lightly modified Mongoose Beast when they first came out but it was a single speed. I put a smaller front chainring on it and it lived up to it's name. I rode it through snow, mud, loose gravel, about anything I could find. That one got me hooked. I ended up trading it for God knows what years ago. My second wasn't really what I'd call a fat bike but had 24x3's and rode great, then I found a deal on another that had 26x3's which I loved as it was a good balance between the two world's. My ex-step-kids pretty much destroyed those two. But I have a feeling this one will be a keeper. They are fun bikes.
Diamondback that is! Was out cruising over to my storage unit to install the new radio in my Sunfire and I spotted a yard sale sign. Turns out it was a fundraiser for our local humane society (animal shelter). I see a few bikes and stuff so I stopped. Bought this awesome chrome Diamondback bmx bike. Looks to be 90% original and still has it's Diamondback plastic pedals (the ones that broke the first time you landed a jump)
I was a bit low on cash so I made a quick trip to the ATM and grabbed more cash and came back... Allegedly doing 50 in a 35...
Anyway I get back and the goods are still there. 2 radical old scooters that are in pretty decent shape, 2 cool old green ladies tank bikes one of which is a Skyrider Deluxe same exact thing as my build off bike but a ladies frame. Story is it has been garage kept since new and I have no reason to doubt it. This thing is beautiful... it even has it's original color matched Troxel seat. The other tank bike is a little ratty but great build material. And the prices will blow your wormhole into another stratosphere.
Diamondback BMX $12
Nice Skyrider Deluxe $15
Ratty tank bike $5
2 scooters $3 each
Well with skate parks making a huge comeback in my community they are seeing a resurgence and I'm happy to see kids riding again. I even took my fat bike a few laps on the BMX park.
So I bought 2 kids bikes for $20 each to use tires off of, sold the purple scooter for $35 and the other for $40. Traded the rougher of the two girls bikes for $10 and a moped project that I am selling tomorrow for $50, and I got a parts bike $40 for the Diamondback as well as ordered new grips $15.

And still have the Diamondback and nicer girls bike I'm holding on to for now till I clean them up. Also have a few kids bikes to junk which will up my profits and a 20 inch bike to strip parts off of for another project. Oh and found this sweet repair stand for $10 at the local flea market!
Well my grips and decals came in so I got a little more done. Looks legit now. Also installed my new air pump so if I ever need to air down for a trail then air back up for the ride home I have it with me at all times. Also added some sweet bear trap pedals.
