That head badge in bare metal looked cool also
I agree, and I at first was tempted to use it that way. However, the shine didn’t last long. I guess I could have clear coated it, but the colors were/are the same as the tank, so it’s a nice tie-in. Plus the splash of color looks nice on an otherwise muted bike.

The brass border & letters will patina again quickly.

Had to fab up my own brake bracket for the “we-made-‘em-fat-back-then” chainstay. (left) As it’s just plain steel, later it got painted.

Tank attachment through double-sided velcro and a counter-sunk screw.

Will attach the brake bracket and kickstand this afternoon, then go look for some photo ops.

LOL That bell! Now that's a bike I could ride on a monday morning!
Great color choice too, I notice the tank colors match the badge, and the handlebars tool bag goes perfectly with the seat and grips... Also all black drivetrain with all black wheels and handlebars. Wild and menacing.

Some possible final Photos:

The Brooks toolbag is the perfect size for a wrench, some allens, and other necessary tools. :cool2:

And the lighting wasn’t right, but I liked this setting.

A couple of days free before the deadline. Will start a finished thread before then, using one photo or another, then if opportunity presents itself, take more shots.

Oh, and the kickstand is waaaaaaay too short. The bike fell over twice before I stopped trusting it at all. It was already leaning at a heavy angle, but a small gust of wind was all it took. Zoom and you can see the spare brick I used in the last photo.
