I picked up a BSA step-through recently for $27. Granted it's not a push rod brake style, but it's probably from the early 60s, and it is complete. It was on CL for a while.

I'll probably have a hard time flipping it in a month to a Yale student for $50.

And I had another 1950's English made step-through given to me recently (forget the badge name). Same thing, I'll probably have a hard time flipping it for under $50-$75

Yeah, I recently went to a motorcycle swap meet and had a man asking me for BSA bicycles. He was a motorcycle guy so I'm sure he wasn't planning to drop big bucks.

I feel like if I could grab it for $200 it would be fun to take around to shows.

Take a look at the price of 28" tires and tubes--a $200 bike can become a $300 bike before you ever get to take it for the first ride!
I know you and I have similar tastes and budgets. I personally would walk away!

Good call guys, and you're all right. I called around to a few experts in that era bicycle and they said the same thing.

Just wanted to make sure I want missing out on something considering it's local.
