Got one side of the talk dialed in a little. More expanded metal, some port holes and the light switch.
Works real smooth!

I think the tanks push it away from looking like expansion cause the curve and transitions... I think if the taillight was pushed up a bit and in so you could show off you skills more:thumbsup: I think look sick with the light treated a bit more light the front.

It's strange to say but the way you did the tanks make expanded graceful?!?!
Very cool.

Yeah, that tail light tube is tricky....there is a light with batteries inside and it's as short as I can make it and still pull out the light.
Unless I lose the fender. Or modify it.

Partly the angle of the photos is to blame, it looks better in person... ;)
Going to keep working it for sure.
The plan is to finish it out like the head lights...still working on the shape :)

Thanks for the props on the expanded metal ! Pholtmonx, I like using perforated too. Here's an earlier tank I built...

Heck of a nice job. The lines for the tank and track are spot on! Your metal fab skills are as wonderful your sense of design.

Well....the problem with these kind of projects is you really have to do them for fun. If i was getting my shop rate, I'd be into this tank at least $1000 by now. The hours fly by when your making it up as you go ;)
Builds are a blast!
but its super easy to spend crazy amounts of time on them, as you all know :)

The rear fender really helps he light.... I think a tail filler with some flare like a duck tail would be awsome to balance the complex curve you pulled one the front of the tanks..
Really sweet build and style.

I've got a pile of parts I'm considering swapping.
Firstly, there is this crusty drop center wheel set with my favorite hubs, Elgin air cooled.

Also have an Elgin crank set and stem that would look pretty tough on this bike....but, I'm also thinking that the og middle weight parts ate the right way to go? Been throwing all my rustiest parts on and I like that look as well.

The wheel set that is on there now is a bit weird. Mismatched set, rear is an S2 with an ND hub. Front is a repop heavy duty rim of some sort. All spray bombed black and starting to peel off.
I like the black, and I really like the fat GT basic rubber...just not sure if the drop centers would enhance the bike or not?

Only one way to find out I guess...I know that the copper tone grips and comfort bars stay !
Just think I'll extend the bars 2-3"...:)

Thanks again !
Planning to do something in the area right below the rear light. ..that should fill out the look nicely :)

Well, I went ahead and switched up the parts...not much left of the old middleweight. I do dig the new look though. Skip tooth set up looks right on to my eye. I'm thinking of painting the drop center rims black around the outer part of the rim and leaving the centers the dirty white OG color, which matches up with my grungy white darts and detail paint.
