Schwinn Jaguar Cop Bike

Well, last week I loaded a trailer full of scrap metal to take to scrap yard, it came out to 1,690 lbs of scrap, and unknowing to me scrap metal is at an all time LOW, so I only got $42.25 for all of it.

Here is picture of them unloading the metal with a big magnet. I love this place, It's the yard I stop at the most.

When I was there I saw pile of cop cars. I tried to find any cop stuff, or take off stickers, but could not, so I kicked a rock at them (cuz how often can you do that!?) :mrgreen:

Anyways, I stopped at a garage sale and the guy had this bike, it's a Schwinn Jaguar, 7-speed. He let me test drive it and it was like a Cadillac! I always forget how NICE newer bike run. SO I bought it for $50.00 (you think I did OK?). So I sold the scrap, got $42.25, bought the bike for $50, so the way I see it I got the bike for $7.75!

It kind of looks like a cop bike, and I saw cop cars, so I 'll call it my Cop bike. Any info on this bike woud be nice, I can only find OLD jaguars when I do searches...

Around here I saw them sold at Target that last couple of years. I always thought it would be a nice basis for a custom project.

Looks like a good deal for $50.

That's a great score..To bad scrap metal is so low right now but a nice new bike makes it all worth the time and effort you put into it..! Keep saving your Metal it will go back up..Look for Copper now ! :wink:

I just paid $20 for a new set of bars that look just like yours and I am picking up a new tire like the ones you have as well and that's running me $15, so yeah, I think you got really good deal.

They sell that Jaguar at Target. If I remember correctly, they go for $110 or so new. Cool find, it has lots of good parts to steal, or ride it like it is!
