And there we go. A Schwinn strandie that could have been built in the 80s. I'm really stoked with how this came out. It'll get a lot of saddle time. Took it for a test run just as the sun was going down and it rode really smooth and quiet. I hope to get another straight bar soon.

They have. There is a guy here in SoCal that makes a bar called ‘devil’s bend’ that is supposed to be replicas of the VDCs. I don’t think he has a site or anything. They pop up occasionally on eBay and bmxmuseum. They look a little bigger to me, but I’ve never seen them in person.

I used a '51 Schwinn straight bar (branded Our Own Hardware, made in Chicago) for my Mesa Buggie build in last year's WBO. They are solid frames and make for fun customization. I went with the klunker mtb mode on mine.

I really like your super cruiser style. And she looks like a good rider for sure! RaT oN!
