No, looks like 70s generic cruiser. However with that frame you can make something really cool like this:

Its probably Murray or Columbia built, 1970's is probably right. Any free bike is good, clean it up and you've got dirt cheap wheels to enjoy.
 
definatly a murray built bike, and the 70's would be a good guess. murray had built bikes for sears to sell under their own name for years, along with some huffies, too. that front basket makes it very handle for hauling stuff. cool find!
