Before paint. A little rewind in the story telling
Before sanding down stripes, I wanted to see how the bee looked without tape. Before removing it, however, I did sand down the bronzing a bit on the head so the embossed texture shown through, in black.
Bee-utiful! Gonna sand down / mute the black a bit?
That Bee is Killer! 
The black on the profile will be mostly covered when the axle is assembled. The black along the top is a clip-in that held the wings in place. I will fabricate a mounting assembly in it's place, eventually.
I would never have guessed bees would make such killer tanks. Great creativity and artistry. The bike is looking great and the tank is primo!
