Before sanding down stripes, I wanted to see how the bee looked without tape. Before removing it, however, I did sand down the bronzing a bit on the head so the embossed texture shown through, in black.

The black on the profile will be mostly covered when the axle is assembled. The black along the top is a clip-in that held the wings in place. I will fabricate a mounting assembly in it's place, eventually.

Thank you so much! I was initially going to use a spraypaint can, but the shape just didn't work. When I found that RC bee, I was so geeked!

Alright. I took down the orange a bit on the black stripes of the bee, and now I'm happy with the look.

Prepping for mounting hardware as well. Probably going to go with Terry clips so I can hang it from the top bar.

You mentioned making it a floating tank. Hope that means it will sort of be centered in the space with relatively equal gaps between it and the torture and cantis.

Absolutely! Once I have the clips in hand, I can start playing with positioning.

Oh wow! Yeah, that's likely a '59 and it is delicious!

I had the red one, but it came in parts. Seat was roached out, and I didn't find an original seat until years after I sold it.
