The 'W'

Was planning on using earth magnets to attach the 'W' to the top plate...but the stainless steel isn't magnetic 😔

I considered mounting these shelf clips to hold it, but the positioning would be off.

Experimented with a suction cup, but not sure how long it would hold on a ride.

So I put rubber washers top and bottom and ran the bolt through. Leaving this as inspiration, for now, but will fabricate a low profile hanger, in similar fashion to a plate hanger without springs.

It can be used as a bottle opener, so I want to be able to detach and re-attach it with some ease.

Get some peel and stick magnetic tape. Or some velcro.

As previously mentioned, the thread pitch on the mic screens are different than the pipe reducers. I tried forcing it through, and I got about 2 threads down on one side, but can barely get a single to catch on the other side. May need to file down a bit or try and cut a new channel with a dremel, as I don't have a tap that size/tpi.

Foam double stick tape.

I wonder if you could grind one side of your bolt a bit to create a makeshift tap?

What about something along the lines of those adjustable bike cell phone holders?
