All I have now is a box on wheels that doubles as a food prep table. But previously, I had one side of my one car garage to use. So I needed a compact bench. I used a kit from home depot for a bookshelf and made a workbench using a 4 x 8 pegboard as part of the construction. It used plastic brackets with 2 x 4's. It was 8 feet in length and height when I made it in North Dakota, but I cut it down to 6 feet both ways to fit the new garage in Florida. It's only 16" in width from the wall. Then I slid a long 2 x 4 across the rafters and added bike hooks every foot or so to hang all the bikes.

I set up shop in one of our two basement storage lockers (I'm renting...). It's so small that you can barely fit a bike inside. To turn it around you have to take it out of the locker, turn and put it back in...
As long as you work on the frame, or with just one wheel mounted it's ok. For the final assembly I usually have to go to the corridor. But that's allways a good oportunity to have a chat with the neighbors...

Another comic themed frame is in the works right now...

That's too clean and neat
Thanks ! , i have to clean just as much as i work if i want to keep it like this
i do alot of wood work and grinding , so i lerned through time that i can't have bike parts in the same room and have to have everything closed of as best as posible so the dust won't go everywhere, its easer/faster to clean iam very lucky to have a other room for storage , this one is for tools and work only , even then , all the plumbing and eletrical tools etc.. are in storage .. before it use to be the storage/workplace all in one and could bearly work and clean

Since I'm still on a 10lb lift limit I decided to organize a bit. I'm starting too feel like a hoarder. I save old cranksets and hubs I'll never use again. May be time too add them too the scrap pile. Just a bit more useable space now

Decided to move all the bikes out of the garage into the basement so I can work warm through the winter. I just put together a bench and mounted a piece of unistrut across the front so I can build different attachments for it. I'm going to put together a truing stand and some attachments to hold frames. I've got a long way to go to finish everything but it's a start

At current, it's the living room floor atop a very trusty shower curtain cover, which has done wonders keeping Any rust or debris..oil..grease or lubricant off the carpet.

In a few months, I'll have a very sizable basement and Plenty of room to stack these Zombies like cordwood.

Here's mine. The doors are intermittently frozen shut and there is 3 inches of ice on the floor from a one day 35 degree F rain storm a week ago. Of course it's snowing in the picture, been snowing for two days now. Unusable until spring. The left lower corner of the photo is my compost barrel with the lid frozen shut from the rain. I've been putting the compost in 5 gallon buckets and saving it up until spring when it will go into the barrel. There is a boat and my two winter bicycles buried under the drifts in the foreground.
