Heres my WallyWorld Onyx. Added front caliper brake, removed fenders, decals and changed bars. Still want to change rear hub to a 48 hole BMX and add a rear caliper brake.

Needs a bit shorter gearing and i may change the bars but it survived its first trail ride!

I just need a set of BMX style bars for my Hawthorne. But in the meantime these cruiser bars will do. I just added the Bontrager connection trails and ditched the heavy cruiser tires, big difference. They were on sale at the bike shop today. The cheapest bars were 60 bucks, no way. When I get the right bars, the Brooks saddle goes on too.

Ive been itchin to make something and came across this ad for a cruiser... it was a Colby? which is a brand that gets it's supply from the same place as micargi or similar overseas made brands do... for 15 dollars and I thought.. ok. it has pink 72 spoke rims which could easily sell for triple that alone. cut to... rims are now blue.. removed the fenders and chainguard../ added a crossbar to the handlebars and changed the neck to one I had from a bmx bike to give it that bmx cruiser feel to it and to finish the look added beartrap pedals..

im thinking about using a sprag clutch hub i have to build a rear wheel with a 9 tooth driver and changing the chainwheel to one of the small bmx ones before too long... but i need to come up on a 32 hole rim.

Here is my Klunker build. Built on a 2000 (I think) Schwinn Cruiser SS. I found the bike complete at Goodwill for $30. Here it is in stock form, minus the chain guard.

Here it is after a BB repack, and some Maxxis Hookworms. The Schwinn Typhoon tires were pretty brittle. Still running original tubes though.
