Nope, it is mounted too low to get cap engaged for pop off or twist off. Would work great on a wall surface.

I've been playing around with my State Klunker since July. FSA pig headset, 18T cog, different bars. It's a blast to ride.

Sturmey-Archer drums w three speed on Stan's rims are next.

Does State ever offer this bike as a frame set only? I really want to build up one but I have 90% of parts I want to use and it feels a wash to buy a built one just to take all the parts off of it.

Check the warehouse deals on the site, I've seen frames on it.

I recently purchased a State Klunker as well. I bought oddmone bars, a Paul stem, and better, blue anodized pedals for it. I’m thinking of upgrading the 170mm/42t crankset too; however, I haven’t decided on one yet. I’ll be sure to post pics asap.

The Dead theme is pretty appropriate for a klunker, Gary Fisher lived with the Grateful Dead, and was involved in the light show for their stage production when he was developing the original klunkers.
