When I saw your dual bars, right away I thought of what you ended up doing. Nice look and the LEDs are a great touch gives a reason for the second set of bars. Any thoughts on doubling any thing else up on the bike?

Ok, first things first, I’m officially done with reformatting pictures specifically to display right on this forum. They work fine everywhere else, so just tilt your head...
This build is going slow, but it may still get there. This update is pretty self-explanatory, rack mount isn’t quite done yet but getting close. Ran out of parts and ambition, will get back at it tomorrow.

Nice weekend for completely over-engineering a project...
Not sure if the bike will be completely done the way I want it with one week to go, but I can guarantee I will be the owner of the most excessive, over the top rack ever seen on a bike. Probably worth more than most of my other bikes just in scrap value. I’ll show it on the bike tomorrow.
Well, here’s where we’re at right now. Still a lot to do, but getting there! Pretty sure this thing weighs like 100 pounds already.

Went to get some wood to make a tank, came home with this stuff. Wish I had found it sooner! It’s PVC stock from Home Depot. Comes in sheets and lumber trim sizes. It cuts like refrigerated butter, and you can glue it together with PVC cement.
Worked up a bracket to secure everything to the bike.
Made a template of the shape I want it to be.
Going to hack it up tonight and start glueing stuff together tomorrow. Gonna have a busy day!

Well, it’s done! Long day but I made it. Going to get some outdoor pictures tomorrow morning and get them in the finished thread.
Terrific! Awesome tank, perfectly matches the center part of the bike to the front and rear. Very cool build.
