What's up guys. Got a pretty sweet build going (at least I think). I am a motorcycle enthusiast and was inspired to make a custom chopper bicycle to bring to a motorcycle festival call Strange Days in North New Jersey. Something a little different and mainly for a laugh with my buddies.

I am going to just post up pics in a time line up to where it sits as of last night. Keep in mind some of the stuff is not in its finished sate:

Pre chop and strech:

This thing is way faster than I expected it to be. I am having it powder coated a matte purple, hence the name, Purple Haze.

What do you guys think so far? [emoji111]

man that is the first time I saw an occ bike I can actually say is pretty cool
looks awesome I love it
212 cc should get up and go pretty good
nice job and good luck with the build

Hey man, if you're not down for something a bit different, I'll gladly take this thread down for you. Didn't think for one second that a single person would have an issue with me sharing this once BICYCLE turn into a motored bike. My apologies.

Don't apologize. This is awesome and inspiring work. I don't think he meant for that post to sound cynical, probably just busting your chops a little. I really like what you did and it's obvious that many others do as well. Please keep us updated on this build!

Thanks dude! I am super excited about how it has turned out so far. At first it was going to be a true motorized bicycle with pedals... but as you can see, it's gone much farther than that. I have significantly increased the strength of the frame. I plan to gusset it even more once I have it stripped back down prior to sending it our for powder coat.

Here is the color it's going to be, I have an lb of powder and clear coat left over from refurbishing my fiances bike:

Pics don't do the color justice, it looks awesome in the sun.

Geez. I dig the bike. Guess , my words were interpreted, into the wrong manner.
Maybe next time.. I will be more gentle with wording, for, the benefit of... those whom carry their feelings on they're shirt cuff.
Digg the bike.looking forward to seeing end result. & yes, make sure you gosset, & reinforce around the china steel parts.
I had a friend get killed, because his occ
Build twiste in the mid-of=rearstays.
And he only had a 80 cc
Well thanks. It's not that I carry my feelings on my sleeve... when someone says this is a forum for x and not y... it's hard to not take that as if I shouldn't be posting any of this on here. I guess a misunderstanding, but maybe think about how your words will be interpreted by others. It was just not at all what I was expecting as a 'welcome to the forum'. No hard feelings [emoji111] [emoji111]

The last thing I want to do is get hurt on this silly thing. I build and fabricate with steel and aluminum everyday. I work for a race car shop that builds 900 hp cars, so you might say I have some experience with finding structural weaknesses. I am the lead frame builder there, I am extremely confident in my work and trust it will keep me safe.

I'll keep the updates coming!

Some more updates... got the springer welded up... going to make some new triple clamps I think. Took it for a test run, the front end is super smooth now, I dig it!

Foot pegs up next then it's just about done!

Below, the holes allow me to adjust the leverage ratio:

Nice work on that exhaust and sissy bar.
