There may have been Firestone Columbias, but Highway Patrol is "Goodyear". Only 2 vert. holes as far as any that I've seen.

I have seen the paint pattern on some Hi-way Patrols, but also on Steve's '42 Westfield.

Maybe it's just the picture, but the middle hole looks out of line. Maybe a mistake, or someone added it for some reason. :?

Definetly a cool bike, I hope you stick with the patina, but since its old and tired maybe you need to give it a good ol rubdown with wd40.

Tank, chain guard, fender light, and the upgrade handle bars are on the way, all with a similiar patina. Waiting on that and a few other finishing touches, then it will get a top coat of WD-40 or a satin clear. Still need to tear down the springer and lube it up as well.
