just this old Schwinn. the new to me has not yet warn off. so haven fun replacing warn out parts. like the brake levers. swapped the warn out Winmenn for NOS Winmann same model/year. doing miner changes / up grades .to make it really mine an not last owners. like NOS hunt wild brake lever grips. so since not board with it yet. been riding it every were. to work and back. the beach, local swap meets. for now unless it's raining it's my go to bike.
to keep it clean in garage while it waits to be road. bought a $12.00 bike cover that Velcro's shut on bottom. so it do's not blow off.
I also made a shakedown ride today, even though it was more of a "wobbledown"...
I'll add a video as soon as I'm done editing and uploading. More about this freak-bike you'll find over here.
I had a break in my schedule which allowed some quality time with my new friend in it's natural environment yesterday!I think we will get along just fine & look forward to strengthening our bond!
Was blessed with a couple more hours on my new bike to get to know each other better yesterday before the wind kicked in.
Was starving afterward so stopped at Marcos for a couple hot dogs. Bacon wrapped dogs w/mayo, mustard, ketchup, onions, pinto beans, tomato & cheese. Absolutely delicious!! I could eat a bucket of the roasted & marinated chiles too!!
Indeed! They are amazing!!! They have good tacos too. Taco stand on one side, hot dog stand on the other. I've only been able to resist the hot dogs a couple of times & had tacos instead.
