Anybody go to the auction?

wondering what it went for??? or who picked it up.

I went out on Friday for the preview. The family holding the auction was very nice and happy that I could provide some insite on the bikes. Many of them learned how to ride on the ladies tank bike. I would have loved to bring those bikes home. The cycle truck was a '38-41. It was all original and would have looked great in my collection. The ladies bike was missing the front fender and drop stand.

After drooling on them for a while I was really rethinking my decision to spend my bike money the week before. I hope that there were some serious players there to drive the price up on the bikes since I couldn't get them. I have been watching CL and ebay for them to pop up.

I just got off the phone with the auction house. The cycle truck sold for $475 and the Shelby built went for $200..

Sure am glad I didn't waste my Saturday. That far exceded my budget.

things are getting crazy... thats American Pickers price right there!

Right now Im bidding on a vehicle on an online auction site... it sat at $800 for a couple of weeks, so I throw a $2200 bid on it.... exactly FIVE minutes later I was outbid! and this was late at night :shock: crazy stuff!
