    1999 Schwinn Cruiser 6

I was told someone had an older Schwinn bike with big tires on it, and of course my mind started racing. So I rolled into the driveway and this is what was waiting for me. It was $25 bucks. I knew it wasn't a Chicago Schwinn, but I figure I could flip it and make a little money. So I get the...

    schwinn tiger

I found this 55/56 Schwinn Tiger three speed (I have to check the serial number, but hub says 55). I bought it from the original owner. He sold greeting cards to earn the money to pay for it himself. He repainted it a number of years later because the red paint had faded so much. He still had...

    1955 schwinn tiger

Have a chance to buy this 55 tiger from the original owner. He repainted it because the paint for very faded. But it's all there. He has original seat to go with it. Only thing not original is grips and tires, which are schwinn tractor. Has a nice jeweled hub shiner on the front. This is a pic...

Not found, but came my way...

A variety of parts make up this klunker. Columbia frame, guard, gooseneck, and sprocket. 30's Hiawatha handlebars and seat post. Schwinn dx fork. Newer and unknown rims. And the obvious schwinn seat. Need some grips and get rid of the knobby tires and all will be good.

    Peugeot Road Bike

Just picked this up this $40 dollar buy this morning. Probably mid seventies, but I've been itching for a road bike to clean up for awhile. I guess the AVA stem has a history of failure, so I will replace that. And the Simplex skewers are desireable. Either way, I'm going to fix up and ride it!

Two finds: a Roadmaster ballooner and a Murray Eliminator

Got both today at the same stop. Roadmaster seems to be 1936ish, with wrong stem, pedals, and guard. Repainted too! But I love it. (Thanks to Phil for info). Also had the Eliminator. Not my cup of tea, but both bikes were bought at a VERY low price. Love the seats on them.

Men's Elgin bicycle....need some identification help please.

I was looking at this for a few days on Craigslist, and finally called the owner. Went and looked at it this morning and got it for a great price. He also gave me a battery pack and light that was found in the same old shed. the light is a Genuine Delta Nitemaster. I'm thinking it was on this...

4 bikes in 40 minutes. Got to love city wide rummage sales.

Had a good day on Friday! I was driving to a smaller city not far from where I live. There was a sale that had"older bicycles", and when I got there I found a women's Monark ballooner. I didn't want a parts bike. Then she said, "it's only five dollars!" SOLD! So I decided to drive by a few...

Old Armstrong Bicycle - prewar (?)

Picked this up yesterday. Armstrong bicycle. Made in England. 28" wheels. Rod brakes. More recent Schwinn leather seat. Singlespeed, not a three speed. Hub is Bayliss Wiley Co Ltd. Front tire made in Great Britain. Rear is a Goodyear. I love this bike. But after I picked it up I found a hole...

Old English Roadster with frame issue

Hi, I don't want to fix this up to ride on a daily basis, but if it's possible to fix this in some way, I'd like to know. I basically want to try and fix it and ride it sporadically. But not sure if this is possible. If not, I'll just hang it on the wall. Any advice? And sorry about the bad...

    24" Rollfast Ranger

Picked this up this morning. Probably going to let my kids use it for cruiser rides. I like the head badge. Would've preferred a Mead Ranger for me, but oh well!

    1959 Hercules w/Cantilever frame-made for Hawthorne

Just picked up this, I believe, 1959 Hercules made Hawthorne. I'd never seen the cantilever frame on a Hercules before, and information on the internet seems sparse. Has a 59 Sturmey Archer AW hub. Speedometer works. It needs some attention, that's for sure. But when you see a bike you've never...

Free stuff falling into my lap lately

I got three free bikes within the last two weeks. Sorry about the crappy pictures. But you get the idea. The Raleigh M50 was given to me by a co-worker. The Firenze road bike was free at a rummage sale. And the Specialized Rockhopper was free from Craigslist..because front suspension is broken...

    Wartime Iver Johnson lightweight

I just got this a few days ago. I had it on the Cabe forums and learned lots of great info (thanks again RMS37). Early 1940's with blacked out hubs and chainring. Thought I'd share over here too.

a rummage sale leads to a shed

I was at a rummage sale this morning, talking to an older guy about a bike he had for sale (a 24" Hawthorne balloon tire). I was on the fence about it, and told him I was going to drive around and think about it. But I stayed and talked for almost an hour, because he and I got along really well...
