how comfortable is it to sit on a banana

I rode a stingray on a 16 mile ride and will never do it again  . I think I'd want comfort before style on my commuter bike, 15-20k is gonna saddle sore you every time you ride.

Huffy build for charity raffle (DONE)

Re: Huffy build for charity raffle Changed my mind yet again. My buddy is going to spray it this week, silver base with a pearlescent metalflake clear coat, should look pretty wild. Another buddy is going to make me a custom z'ed seatpost, should move the seat back a few inches and sit very...

    Product evaluation: Reproduction Streamline Pedals

They look to be the same exact pedals, for $10 more you could get their repop Torringtons. I'd stay away from the Magna's (oops, I named names  )

    Rat Riders Spring Ride

Bump for new info. Looks like we will be in the shelter at the rear of the park this year, we were too late to reserve the one overlooking the river. Our proceeds will be going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Cincinnati. I invited them to bring some kids down to the ride, but no...

    a new US

Almost forgot to check in again. 196. Been riding a bunch, walking the dog, but can't lose any weight. Most of my pants are too big for me now, maybe I'm getting muscle somewhere. If I am I surely haven't noticed. :?

anyone know about this muscle bike?

I'd try the muscle bike forums, they should be able to pinpoint it. My uneducated guess is Raleigh or Ross.

    Product evaluation: Reproduction Streamline Pedals

I got them from someone who bought them brand new and ended up not using them. I know where he purchased them and what company makes them, but I'm not going to name names. As for the bushings, they're done for. The washers that are supposed to hold everything together slipped past the mushroomed...

    Product evaluation: Reproduction Streamline Pedals

I'm not one to cause drama, but when I get a product that's poor quality and unsafe, I get a little angry. Just got these repop streamline pedals about a week and a half ago. They are pretty cool looking, look great on my bike. Me and the girlfriend hit the 8 mile trail, halfway through my...

The bike with no frame - Now With Frame

 Those wheels do look cool on there! Do you have a skinny 26" wheel for the front? Might look cool and add a little rake.

The bike with no frame - Now With Frame

That frame makes those wheels look like 20 inchers

Huffy build for charity raffle (DONE)

Re: Huffy build for charity raffle Changing my mind once again  . Been so indecisive on a color combo, bare metal with black rims, white seat/grips is what I've decided on. That way the winner may like it as-is, if not they can just strip the clear coat and paint to their liking. Thinking...

    Coca Cola tandem "tandemonium!" 3/21

Made a little progress today. Two steps forward, one step back would describe it best. These fenders just will not fit right. I've notched the rear where the seatstays touched, still doesn't look right :x . The front fender had fitment issues where the forks came into the fork crown, made some...

    Coca Cola tandem "tandemonium!" 3/21

Re: Coca Cola tandem "tandemonium!" 3/19 Alright, this build has been on hiatus long enough, last time I touched it was October  . Had some major problems when I cleared the frame, it did not like the striping or the decals. Luckily I was able to wet sand it out and save it, not fun. I...
