    Tinkering with the Interceptor...

Thanks guys. Still deciding on what I want to do with the fenders... I was glad to see I could still fit them switching from 26X1.95 to 26X2.1 tires... I love the half-type rear fender you see on things like the Electra Rockabilly, but I'm not sure I ant to cut the original just yet... Gonna...

    Tell me about this seat-post?

So, I'm guessing the bolt tightens the post in the tube? (originally I thought the bike was missing the clamp) I unscrewed it like 5 inches and it didn't come out/apart... so I tightened it down again. ???

    Tinkering with the Interceptor...

Late 50's Evans Interceptor 100... AS found on Craigslist Got one wheel on and got hints from the "How to..." section on grinding the fork/axle for fitment of the front... very uncomfortable seat... kinda like bare metal with contact paper on it... Yeah! Got the front wheel on...

Mine is basically stock plus an 8-speed Nexus with drum brake, a kiddie-seat rack on the back end, and an ESGE stand... She's pulling the trailer... mind the tow bar. Say that 3 times fast. Nexus-8 with drum brake... Garmin E-map... (I can't figure out diameters for my bike computer...

    Custom Murray Trike

Nice Trike! Well done. I read a lot that trikers prefer a step-through frame vs. the up-and-over thing! :) But, I love the look of the men's frame triked out.

Axle (bolt) diameter too big for front fork

Wow. thank you for all the info. The fork is a little narrow. I may take a slivvvver off of it and then flat spot the axle as suggested. That wheel's goin' on tomorrow! Stuart

Axle (bolt) diameter too big for front fork

Newbie question alert. Ok, I picked up a set of 26" rims off of CL from a more modern cruiser... The front rim's axle bolt is too big to fit in the front fork on my late 50's Evans Interceptor... IT's close, but... My question... Should I get a new axle ? Is that easy to swap out? How...
