Had a very fun test ride. Tourists wanted pics with Speedfish. Got a pic of Julia Robert's with it too (inside Savannah movie trivia for later).

I actually like it without the filler better.
I thought it would look better with the filler panel too but I like it better without also.
Holey Chainguard Ratman!
I vote for that one! Both seats really go well with the bike. I have a slight preference for the Mooneyes but the checkered one looks great too.

Here more pics from my ride today trying out the holey guard and checkered seat along with the speed rails and speed bumper finished.

You when you take photos of your bikes in your city I'll be honest not paying much attention to the bike as I've said before I love your city. We'd had planned on getting married there but due to some boarder issues I've had I can't get there yet.

Ok, love the last chainguard, and prefer the moon eyes to the checkered seat (ties in the yellow on the engine). Also, please sell me the checkered seat. I collect Evans Colson seats, and I have the red checker, the blue checker, the black/white striped, and the chevron jets, I am missing the black checker, and the boys blue checker (there is possibly a green checker as well).

P.s. this has nothing to do with my seat preference on your build (all seriousness), I really do prefer the yellow seat.

Excellent saddle collection! But sorry to say that my black and white one won't be added to it :D :D :D . Regardless if I use it on Speedfish or not, it's gonna stay with me.
I like the Mooneyes, but I am leaning towards using the checkered one. I already had plans to change the yellow highlights on the engine.

I kind of like option 2, but they both work and option 1 seems like it would be quicker to build.

As you can tell, I went with a variation of option 2 on the bumper.

I like the way 1 looks like an extension of the grill. Also like the way the side rails continue a little at the taper.

Well, while I was typing you posted 2. Now I'm torn.🤔

It's fun when I post my work in almost realtime you can scroll down or hit refresh and see updates on what I was talking about doing 2 posts before. :D

After riding around today, I like the speed bumper without the filler option. It just feels better.
I love the holey tapered guard for sure.
I probably won't make a final decision on seats until I work out the paint scheme, but I am leaning towards the checkered saddle.

Checkered seat for sure

It will probably stay.

Thanks man! Can't wait to show you around town once you do make it down!

Had a great night ride.

Last time I was in Savannah was in the early 2000s with a Canadian punk band called the sinisters we played some dirty dive bar.

Plenty of those. :D I wonder if it was the Wormhole?

Sounds familiar it's one of the few punk clubs in Savannah. It was dirty all I remember was a fun night.

Back in the 80s and 90s it would have been the Night Flight Cafe (which then became Congress Street Station). Went there to see an 80s band from England called Bad Scientist and next thing we knew the Chili Peppers joined them. The band was just as surprised as the rest of us.

That is awesome seeing bigger bands in small venues is amazing. I worked a rolling stones /with Danko Jones (Canadas best rocker )show at the horseshoe tavern in Toronto capacity 400
It was insane my head was at Mick's kneecap

Have to move some stuff around for paint crew, so this just happened.

Hard to believe all of those plus 3 other bikes fit in this space.

That totally Southern Fried KFC.
King Fish Cyclery! that is.
By the piece or the family pack!

BTW I just learned some shocking Canadian KFC chicken facts this week that some may find upsetting.
Colonel Harland Sanders actually lived in Mississauga Ontario..., Canada.

So memory served correct and really did meet him as a kid at a small town KFC while chompin' chicken at the old picnic tables.
Would have been '69-71 ish.
Same mall as Detroit Redwings' multi Stanley Cup winner and long serving Canadian politicians Red Kelly's bowling alley. My brother was a professional pin setter. Lol.
The Horseshoe Tavern has been in business at that location since 1947. Horton Heat, Los Straight Jackets and The World Famous Pontani Sisters were my most recent outings.
I do not like to interrupt often, but when I do...

I'm currently looking forward to savour Colonel Palmer's New Secret Coating Recipe more though.
