As Always digging your Bike....
I'm a bit Jealous of that Hood Ornament you have, I've been wanting one like that to put on a front fender of My Columbia Jet Rider...

As far as your back spring problem... Go the NASCAR route and put a couple of Spring Rubbers in there .?.?
You wouldn't have the unadulterated Chrome look, but I'd think it'd look better than the other type of springs you're looking at...
Have Fun

Thanks who. I think I got that from one of the RRB members in the sale section last year.

I also have a cool 54 Chevy hoodie that I got from DubNick that I mocked on the front just for fun the other night.

I googled the spring rubbers, but I can't find any that are small enough for my chrome springer. Cool idea though.
I think that the 650 lbs/in spring is gonna be about right and I have thought of a few ways to make it more integrated and better looking with the bike.

Glad someone else likes hood ornaments, I have one similar to yours mounted on the hood of my 49 Schwinn. Nice build you have going, very creative rear suspension.

Let me know when you post it. Glad my tire selection or build inspired an idea!!

Re: Flex{\\\}Liner 7 TwinFlex Spaceliner 6/6 Wheel Being Laced

Dropped off my black rim and Nexus 7 at Star Bike to get it laced up. I never get tired to going to that shop. It is loaded up with old restored bikes and inspiration. Thanks to DN, I asked about a spare parts closet and came out with a cool leather saddle. I also took more photos of the bikes. They have been selling some recently. I can remember there beeing about 7-8 Krates hanging and they are now down to one. They are also the shop that has the 39 TwinFlex that I have been referencing for my rear suspension. I will post more photos of their bikes in the thread I started about them last year.

Re: Flex{\\\}Liner 7 TwinFlex Spaceliner 6/6 Testing a few ideas

Whoinphx suggested using spring rubbers in my springer coil, but I couldn't find any this size in my searching.
I just happened to have the old water ski rubber boots laying around from Fugsley's rack and tested if I could sut some from it.
It may work, but it would be about 7 circles. I will probably end up using the 650 lbs/in wally spring.

Re: Flex{\\\}Liner 7 TwinFlex Spaceliner 6/6 Fins and Wings

I also thought of cutting the wings off of the hoodie and still using the missing body for the kickstand (probaly with the Harley 7 pool ball too.

Then I would use the wings somewhere on the bike. Here are a couple of options.

On the original drops

Or on the suspension bars (not these temp ones) near the rear spring.

I like the idea of the hacked up hoodie. The body has nice lines for a k/s, and I like the wings on the rear stays. Can't wait to see what you decide!

Under the seat is a great placment. Wings?!? What are you trying to do? Join the Car Acrobetic Team!(10 points-name it as Jeaprody music plays in the background)

Thanks. Since I don't have the space age SpaceLiner tanks, I think the chopped hoodie missile/rocket kickstand could help bring back some of the Space Age vibe to my build.

I am pretty positive I will be using this. there are a few other places I may try the wings, but I can pretty much guarantee, they are going on somewhere.

This is a cool pic. The angles & curves from the frame & bars looks great. Love the grips too.

I really like these bars with this frame too. I think the bars may end up anodized red.

I still have decided on the stem yet. Limited somewhat because I can't slide the bars into a regualr gooseneck. May even do something custom.

These grips are comfy and have a cool attitude that matches the bars to me.

Re: Flex{\\\}Liner 7 TwinFlex Spaceliner 6/6 WINGS, Yes WINGS!!!

Thanks for the grips, you keeping them or just teasing me?
