I didn't even remember that I had this old seat. The cover is shot, but the pan and undercarriage are in excellent shape. After seeing some of the finished I may be doing some creative with it. I like the thin side profile of it. Of course it will be MUCH lower.

Thanks for noticing all of the details. You are right that there is a lot of stuff going on with this bike, but it ain't like BEER RUN was last year. That bike was overloaded but it was a fun theme park bike, so it all worked. This build has more finesse in the details, so it doesn't come acros as overloaded. At least, I hope it doesn't once I get everything back together.

Found this seat yesterday. I have no idea what bike it came from. I really don't remember getting it, but I got it now.

The undercarriage just needs some paint removal and wire brushing. I stripped off the seat cover, the upper pan was shot for the most part, but the bottim pan is in very good shape.

Broke out one of my trusty cobbler anvils and hammered out a few place. Then I primed and painted it with a Stainless Steel yard sale paint I had.

I have cool plans for this blank canvas. It kinda delays my expected finish date, but it's gonna be so worth it. 8)

I decided to paint my seat pan to match my Flying Tiger chainguard.

Here is the beginning layout. I got the mouth and teeth drawn out and painted with everything but the white teeth. I will decide on eye placement after I get the mouth painted. I will also go back and outline everything in black with my paint pen just like I did with the guard.

Jake that is an awesome toast. Of course we have to expand it outwards and inwards to make it a global toast. I love the "Mannish Boy" part, but we'll have to rock that to Muddy and not John Lee.

Finished painted the white teeth tonight before bed. Tomorrow I will do the outlines and the eyes and any touchup.

I like the way this is turning out.

Cool toast, Jake. I'm toasting my dad who worked his butt off his whole life to overcome a rotten childhood and provide his kids with a childhood he never had. That included providing us kids with bikes, usually used bikes, but he always had bikes for us.
