Yes it is. Trust me, it ties together well with the chainguard.
I just haven't been "feeling" any of the other seat options that I have thrown at this build. I like this one a lot.
Finished outlining everything with my black paint pen. Well almost finished. The paint ran out with only one 7 inch line to go. Gotta stop by the craft store on the way home now.

Oh, I don't doubt it ties together. I think it stands out more than the chain guard does, but I'll reserve judgement for when I can see the entire bike in context. Now you just need to fly a tiger tail on a flag pole off the rear... :lol:

I'll think I'll stay away from going down the "Their Grrrrrrrrrrreat" theme road.

I remember as a kid having a set of these from Esso back in their "Put a Tiger in your Tank" days.

Wire wheeled, sanded, primed and then painted the seat undercarriage with some yard sale Rustoleum Metallic Black.
The springs were shot earlier with the Metalcast Ground Coat to prep them for Metalcast Anodized Red.

This Trek cruiser saddle has a huge grab rail. I removed it and will see what it looks like on my seat once I have the undercarriage done.

I will paint the eyes on tonight. I wasn't thrilled with the Stainless Steel paint, so I taped off the mouth and shot the top with the Metalcast Ground Coat. I will clear the hole seat pan after the eyes are done.

I ordered two more of the mini 7 balls and drilled them out for valve caps.

Yesterday I tool my long Exerciser seatpost and put it in the hydraulic pipe bender. The walls buckled some. Not even sure if I want a laid back post, but had it available to try.

That's cool with the 7 balls. I think with the way the seat post tube started to collapse, you wouldn't really want to use it much that way without putting a brace on it. I could see that folding without too much effort, unless its a bit heavier walled then I'm imagining...

I think they work well with the bike. These are the same ones that I used for the stick shift.

I will tread lightly if I use the seatpost. I wouldn't want to get impaled on my can opener. It's pretty thick walled stuff though. Much thicker than most pipe that I have seen.

Finished painting and outlining the eyes as well as the 7. All that left is to put a few coats of clear on this pan.

Should be able to finish up the painting on the undercarriage for it tomorrow as well.

I had to take some photos of the seat and chainguard together. I pretty happy with the result. I am surprised how well I did mirroring the mouth. Everything on this baby is freehand, just like the chainguard.

It's not my butt that I am worried about. I figured I needed to carry along some spare balls on the wheels based on the location of the teeth on my seat. :wink:

WOW, thanks man!!! That's a huge compliment to even be considered.

I would have had it back together by now if I hadn't gotten sidetracked on the seat. But I think the seat was so worth it. I still have time to finish.

Glad you like the seat GSC. There are a ton of jokes that could be built around the seat alone.

I am pretty humbled to think of Flexy as a contender with so many cool bikes being done. I am truly honored with that compliment. I'm bringing my best game, so we'll see at the finish line.
