This year's Veteran's Day Parade started only a few blocks South of my house and went around our square. It was fun riding down to the staging area to check out the vets and the other parade participants.

Friday night, I rode my El Guapo down to Forsyth Park to see the free concert. Well, something didn't feel right and it appears that the offset cog was loose. It might even be wallowed out. Scootered it back home (3 blocks) and took Flexy back to the concert.

The weather was perfect Saturday, so I took Flexy out for an overdue ride. I rolled down the lane and saw this 1939 Chevy in front of my neighbors Savannah Race Museum. After taking the photo of Flexy in front of it, I started talking with the owner and then all of these other members of the Dixieland Cruisers started rolling by and parking around my square. What a great start to bike ride.

I thought it was very cool how mirror like the paint finish was on this truck.

They dyed the Forsyth Park Fountain water green as part of St. Patty's

I also came across this Ferrari on my ride

Then a street rod that was not part of the Dixieland Cruisers

Flexy looks right at home with ANY of those cars.
I guess the great designs are timeless!

Also LOVE the green water in all the fountains for St. Patrick's Day.

Thanks guys, I still enjoy riding Flexy as much as ever. It was a blast riding around for an impromptu custom car show right out my front door.

Then I was rewarded this morning when I saw that Flexy made it as a Bike of the Day on RRB's Facebook page.

You may notice that I am running a Brooks on Flexy now.
Well after riding on my metal seatpan for the past year, I noticed a crack in the pan yesterday.
It's a shame, because the pan is actually more comfortable than the Brooks.
But I am afraid that those teeth would end up biting me in the bum.
I'll just have to remove the pan and hang it in my shop as art.

I posted back in March how my seat pan was getting a stress crack from my big butt. Since then I have been riding Flexy with a Brooks, but I really like my Flexy pan better. Double Nickel put a seat up for sale that really looked like it was the right size and shape, so I bought it a couple of months ago. I want to ride Flexy tomorrow for the fireworks, so I took a break from FireWing to see if the pan would work.

The under pan is the same, so it should work nicely to skin the Flexy underneath.


All I had to do was clean it up and bend the nose up a bit.


It'll be a great fit


Laid some hammered silver yard sale paint on it.


All I need to do is bolt it all together tomorrow and I'll be sitting in style again.

I have always been surprised at how comfortable a sprung metal pan can be.

I went down to the River to watch the 4th of July fireworks and found a great place in front of the Vietnam War Memorial that has a great spotlight for night photos.
