You've got good luck at Yard Sales lately, the Handlebars are great on that bike, and now the lights ... If you could set those lights up to shine through your pipes, kinda like HiaWhatThe 's build, I think that'd really make your chainguard rock...

Thanks who, if you look at my Fresh Finds thread you will see that I always do good at yard sales, but finding the lights was pretty darn cool. Yes, X has been my R&D for lighted exhaust pipes. He did a really cool job with his for sure!!!!

Pipes are sweet man,definitely an idea i will steal on a later build! Id imagine either angle will work well.

Thanks X, I like to think of it as being R&D for other ratters. I have definitely gotten some ideas from your work.

The pipes look awesome dude. You should make a dry ice compartment and have smoke coming out of them.

When your kid is in the hospital, you get a four page credit, so yoothgeye is really only 2 pages in arrears. Of course, when one becomes a moderator, you should set a good example, so that's a 4 four page penalty. So, yep, it's 6 pages.*

Popped on the saddle from my American Picker in Malaysia trip. It sure has a huge front spring.

These yard sale lights are exactly the same length as the chainguard louvers. I strapped them on and hooked up a 9V battery just to get a feel for the lighting. Pretty cool. It will be even better when I add some red film behind the louvers.

Don't know if I will add some more lights for the exhaust pipes or not. That might be overkill.

Looks like you just bought yourself a 2 page double negative usage penalty. Unless you were implying that you had done something...

The lights look great in that chainguard, treat them as accents and limit your lights unless you want an electric parade bike. :lol:

Thanks yooth. That's kinda what I am thinking, but then again BEER RUN did have a flashing COLD BEER sign, and beer bottle full of lights and beer can headlight and taillights. But this bike isn't going to be the circus bike that BEER RUN was.

If I want a parade bike, I can always put on a silly costume and add more temporary lights to it.

Here's my suggestion. Think about enclosing the back of the chainguard to limit the light output to business side of the guard... or enclose it and make the same grooves on the other side.

I was thinking about blocking the light from the chain side. It does light up the tire nicely, but I think it will look much cooler with just the louvers lit.

First bought the Dahon MU frame and other parts, then on the way home I bought a Park workstand for only $40, then when I got home my Nexus 7 hub and my springer head assembly were waiting for me!!!!

The art college SCAD is having their "new alumni" free concert on the park tonight.
