There is always the insert in the bar end which will be hidden by the grips trick....Actually with the current stem, I wish I would have left about another on inch on.

Just realized I pretty much repeated what you had just said.....broke my cardinal rule: always read all the way through before responding!Just stuff a little piece of bar inside the grips when you install them. She's a beaut...super hot here too.

Please tell me you are doing upper and lower fender skirts. Please.Time to work on how to attach the flipped skirts onto VerBoten. For now I have these conduit clamps as standoff mounts. I plan to modify them so the screw aren't there.

Tie wrap mockup time before I do any cutting or drilling on the skirts.

I really like the Yin Yang curve if you follow the seat stay curve followed by the skirt trailing edge curve

I say ship em,tail fins look good.... but then again itI have a pair of skirts. They are just sitting on my porch doing nothing.
Could be awesome

Awesome work on those skirts King!
I don't know how you could accomplish it, but a loop of tube following the curve down and around the back of the tire would be super cool...
Luke.
Edit: Like this:
Maybe you could just do the loop part of Luke's suggestion and maybe tie it into a rear streetsweeper fender, that would scream old Earl design. Just sayin', it's been over 100 here with the heat index too and I may just be dehydrated, so.......[emoji12]

So, do the wings flap at all? Not trying to be funny, just curious how stiff they are mounted in this configuration.

I don't have the comp skills to do it, but what if you take away the "front edge" of Luke's tubing and just have a loop of tubing coming off of the rear dropout in a low loop like he has pictured? That should keep your skirt from lifting up in the breeze (couldn't resist ) and it swoops nicely with the curve of the seat stay.Awesome work on those skirts King!

Just had a thought if I go the double skirt route. I still have the tank that goes along with my hood scoop. What if I separated the two halves and used each half between the upper and lower skirts? The trailing point should extend about 6" beyond the joint with the skirts, but about even with the trailing points of the skirts.

That's what I was thinking too. Maybe, depending on how close it is the end of the fender, an existing fender brace could attach to the wings. Hope that makes sense.....Maybe a sweeper fender that only runs from the seat stays to the rear skirt wraparound?
