Might be able to work a piece of that longer trim to go from chain to back of tire :)

There is no more of the trim other than the two halves.

If you're going with the skirts and aluminum trim, I'd say no chain guard.

Yeah, that is the direction I am leaning. It's actually stainless, so it should polish up well.
I also plan to go fenderless.

Cool.:cool2:
Think maybe turn reflector,,
point down...would look better.:39:
I can dig that, the lower lines of the reflector match the trim and the reflector pointed down might give the appearance of a lower stance.

I'm with KJV and Falstaff on the flip of the 'flector, and that's a great fit for your build! I hear you on the "not hiding the BB shroud" reasoning for no chain guard. And from my own personal perspective, I worried about my big bottle cap placement on BBD detracting (or completely wrecking) the twin top and tank tubes on the WF frame. However, I wonder if there is something you can do that will pull my eye more forward now on the bike since the cool additions to the rear end? The wrap around with the hood piece is really neat...did you try it with just the lower skirt by chance? Or maybe there is yet another surprise waiting in the "wings" for the front end....?

Soon, I'll jump back on completing the hood scoop and Elgin headtube shroud marriage up front.

Road around to a couple of different kitchen stores looking for ideas on a hood scoop grill and maybe some metal piece to complete the front of the shroud.
Like the LeSabre concept car, I wanted the scoop to have both a grill and a light.
Bought one of these apple corer's

My thoughts are to cut it up and insert it inside the scoop like this. The center will have some marble or lense and the surrounding sections will have some copper mesh that I bought.

Didn't find anything for the front of the shroud. Then I went to Michaels and saw what appeared to be a galvanized soup can with the ridges on the side and a light bulb went off. Why not use a Campbell's soup can. Got home and had Queenfish cook up some Chicken Noodle so that I could get the can. It actually has a nice shine to it and I am hoping the the ridges will give the front a grille look. We'll see after I cut it up. Obviously there is some bending and cutting to do to make it narrower and such, but I took these pics to get a general feel for it.

That can should match the lines of the trunk molding and rear reflector pretty well.

This thing gonna have a rumble seat, or what? o_O

Well, I am a Ramblin Wreck from Georgia Tech and a Helluva Engineer, so you never know.

This bike just keeps getting cooler. I love how you just figure it out as you go. That's how I work best. About 15 years ago I bought a couple sets of skirt guards to do just what you're thinking about doing, one on top and one on bottom. As usual, life and job got more attention but man, I really need to dig those parts out. I really lovin' this build KF.

Got the second set of skirts from a trade today.
Maybe I'll mount them on top of the handlebars to make a Bat Cycle. :p

I guess initially I like the double skirt...unless
..you could balance the one lower in the rear with something (skirt?) that would be mounted inversely in the upper region of the front end! Sort of your yin yang look carried out again....
