I have the day off, so I am going to start on the honeycomb hex sammich tank.
Hung the hex honeycomb to get a feel for it and I likenit a lot.
Applied the P.A.D. material and marked it up for a rough template.

Tracked down the last piece of my 9 year old yard sale roof flashing and I was about to head to Home Depot because it wasnt big enough.
But, it looks like I can wait another year before paying full price for flashing. I've used this stuff on so many builds over the years. It seems fitting that I get to use it one last time on a Silver King. I just rotated the template diagonally and I have just enough.
And it is going to give a killer look as the meat in my sammich.

Red will definitely be in there. My plan is for it to be some level of red scallops with polished aluminum background

Here is some inspiration I found after I decided on scallops.
To me, the tomato is already in the bun. Or should I say 'under the bun'...
A local bike buddy swung by once he saw I was off and working on HEXy. We shot the bull for quite a while, then I thought of a simple way to test the red meat sammich idea.
So, I cut a simple red single scallop out of my P.A.D. and slid it between the honeycomb bread.
