Plus I already have some Kool Knights that I also won on BBRPD this year.

Half Links are inherently beastly, point taken.

Also, I'm not really going for a beast mode build. I know I have the fat forks and now the fat cranks, but most of the other elements in my mind don't necessarily go that direction.

Cool chain, but I love the overbuilt three sided armored halflinks of the Kool Knight.
Dangit, King, you're always one move ahead of us!

Or is it a level above?

I noticed the notches built into the hextube frame for the top kickstand plate. I think many of these came with the rare and expensive Monark butterfly kickstand. Well I don't have one of those, but I did have a 1950s Monark kickstand which I stole the top plate from. I also snagged the Steyr butterfly stand from Western Sizzler. I need to get one that is a little shorter though.
I love how well the plate fits right into the notches in the cast frame.

Here are some possible saddles

I always equate saddle choice with bars/grip choice. Maybe because they share the same visual plane and I tend to try and tie them together

Yes, you kinda have to need to see how everything plays together before making any final choice. Different bars and even chainguard choices can change the vibe and in turn could change what seat I select.

I threw on a temporary stem and tested my Ruff Cycles Ron bars.

Then I saw these modern aluminum low rise cross bars in a box and slapped them on with some red Hunt Wilde torpedo grips.

This frame requires a quill type seatpost. The one that I removed really got beat up and piched out of round etc from the visework and such. But I had assumed that I would be able to easily make a replacement from my hoard of seatposts.

WRONG!!!!!
This is a true 7/8" seatpost. After looking through my big bucket of posts I found some that were close, but not close enough without using some sort of shim. So I went over to my bike stash and couldn't find a singe bike that used a 7/8" seatpost.
