Found a fence off of our square that still had some nice flags out. Played around with some "single take" filters that Samsung has.

Rediscovered this old run down shed in one of the lanes. Love the character this place has.

I remember eating in a diner like the Streamliner, outside of Louisville 55 years ago.

There was a narrow counter and small booths, but the actual cook was in a hut or shed attached to the backside.
They were passing chili and burgers thru the windows. Fried chicken.

I was 12 so I ate like a starving wolf.

One of my best memories traveling in the South.
There are pullman cars like that in the rail museum in Sacramento.
The restored private cars of some tycoon.

Those bars are growing on me. The black color doesn't jive right now, but I know you have a whole color wheel yet to discover with this build. After a few photos, I was just focusing on the bike and environment, the bars didn't 'stick out' for me. So that might be a good thing.

This was revealing.

I never heard any of this.
I was listening to CW back in those days.

They had to put Roth on "echo" to round out his voice.
I've never heard him on audio before though.
He didn't sound like the big tough guy that he was.

Ed Roth had a strange effect on my career choices.
But that's for another thread.

I got to throw a leg over this steed today. It is everything the pictures convey and more. Essentially a Colson limo

Good seeing you again KF. Thanks for letting me into the inner sanctum

Good to see you again too bud! Thanks for being patient as I kept pulling parts out to get your opinion on how they worked or not with the build.
We need to all get together for a ride too.

Catched up to this one, love that chopshop bars, but not certain if they fully fit this bike.

And I really enjoy the pictures you are taking.

Don't get me wrong, the bike is absolutely gorgeous, but my view when I see the latest pictures;
The front fork looks very bulky and industrial, absolutely awesome, but thats also why I am missing something 'balancing' in the rear:
  • Maybe a 'ratrod/liquor' canteen bottle of tool bag behind the seat.
  • Install an old 'tractor' seat (maybe thats over the top weight/looks wise):

Can't wait for more!

Ah, the city scenes are so refreshing, especially from our little place in a village located at the end of a road, surrounded by forest :)

One of Savannah's old nicknames is the "Forest City" because of its squares and trees. :D

Kingfish finds the coolest bars. He has a set of red ones on a build I'd love to get my hands onView attachment 200815
Even tried to find the build to find out what they were.

I see that @Captain Awesome already provided a link to my VerBoten build.
I actually had those bars made for me from Anthony Hobbs back in BO10. The same guy that made the springer forks on my current build.
I dug back into that thread and remembered my inspiration for them.
I liked the streamlined look of a set that I missed out on in the sale section

Kinda like the long flat bars used for the old pacer motorcycles. I think they also called these "tiller" bars.

Funny memory was right after I placed the order for Anthony to make those bars for me, I found this chair at a thrift shop while the bars were in transit.
I still bought the chair and chopped it up.

And tested them on VerBoten. They worked well, but were about 4" narrower than the bars I ended up using. Thanks for reminding me that I still have these in the back of my shop. I'll definitly use them some day.

By the way, the ChopShop bars have a little bit of that pacer bar vibe to them with such a long drawback.
