While checking alignment of the guard, I could tell that it was hitting the tire. This is preventing me from lining up both the front and rear bracket. Gonna have to cut and grind a tire groove in both the top and bottom of th guard first. It's a bit late to disturb the neighbors. Everything in our courtyard echos to our neighbors courtyards over the short brick walls.

My plan for the back is to have an angled bracket under the front dropout extension bolt.

Then up front, I'll trim the bottom of the unfolded stock bracket and make a new bracket that wraps the downtube and sticks straight up to be bolted together with the flattened stock bracket

Got the tire notches cut on the guard.
Good enough for working on the braces. I'll probably notch it out longer by the end of this.
