Any idea why there are 2 different size axles?

This is the axle out of the womens bike…. It’s a bit newer

The bottom brackets are the same size… the one I took out of the proper rat rod looks aftermarket

Here’s the original BB hardware with the shorter axle pulled out of the blue women’s Raleigh.

I just have it mocked up and all parts are just finger tight.

I’m not sure the axle I pulled out of the PRR was correct?

This shorter axle pulled out of a seemingly all original Raleigh seems to work ok?

@ingola does this clearance look ok compared to the Raleigh’s you have?

(Or any other Raleigh owner!)

this what I use grind the end level with the pin and crank works every time 26 bucks on Amazon
