Yes, they started as a bike company in the 1800s and sold bikes up to the 1960s when the other bits + pieces they sold had finally completely taken over.
I have a small frame KIA "The Cat" Mens road bike. Looks cheaply built. Probably Late 70's early 80's. Got it throw in with a couple of bikes I bought awhile back. Can put up a pic if anyone is interested.
My next door neighbor has an old tan Kia 10 speed in near mint condition. Typical inexpensive diamond frame 10 speed, I have the identical bike as a partially stripped corpse in my barn. I think the bottom brackets are an odd size that makes them difficult to find bearings for.
At any rate they are okay for riding if in good shape.
