just discovered this thread! some people have amazing imaginations and skills here! here's a few details from my beach bike: Hand made brake bracket welded to a varsity fork and powder coated:

motorcycle brake lever and mirror, and shift lever of unknown origins:

stainless lower section of sprung sissy bar with tab welded for Chinese disc brake:

i had no clue the powder coating was UV sensitive:

eBay headlight modified to use an automotive LED peanut bulb and 9V battery:

I enjoy making stuff out of brass tubing. It’s always around, easy to form and quite strong. Plus you can solder it.
