Looks like a vintage oil can to me.What was that bottle thing below the grenade
It really was great. They would get in some cool vintage (for sale) pretty often as well. They also sold fairtrade chocolate (thus the name), and Gregory was known for wearing a bowtie as his signature look (the 'tie in' on the badge). I bought this 24" bare metal Sears there. Wish I had kept it. It was really slick (tank shroud/scoop was solid chrome, not plastic) and rode super smooth.

Looks really nice. 60’s vibe?Working an antique show this weekend (Thur-Sun) so bike stuff will be here and there. Found these goodies, though, and one of the hood ornaments is begging to be incorporated into my build. However, I am reminded of a Coco Chanel quote,
“Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off.”

Unfortunately, it tapers in the opposite direction of the cross bars. If I was able to modify it a bit, I could possibly blend it with the rear fender.Maybe try it an inch further forward?
That's an oil can with a screw on cap for the tip. I have another, but it is missing the cover. I'll post a pic of it disassembled. What was that bottle thing below the grenade
The sentiment is to edit your look by paring down, but it is also a hilarious mental pictureThe Chanel line is really funny!
RaT oN~!
Yessir! Was vacillating between purple and green myself. The chainguard is going to have green (as do the dropouts), so the purple might be the ticket! Those purple Wellgo's are but you do need a splash of green in there somewhere
Looks like we're leaning that wayPartial to purple.
Was the seat post and/or seat clamp going to be green? The build is looking fun and funky.......Yessir! Was vacillating between purple and green myself. The chainguard is going to have green (as do the dropouts), so the purple might be the ticket!

Naw, just plain metal . Thanks! Was the seat post and/or seat clamp going to be green? The build is looking fun and funky.......
The way your whole design fades from blue to violet through to the tires is tight! I'm digging it. I think that bright orange in that amount is going to overwhelm your pallet and detract from what you got going on. I would personally go with smaller hints of orange and possibly darker.. like the sticker on the head tube. Your piece reminds me of my friend Greg's work, a classic horizontal rainbow fade with bits of different hues..Side-by-side for a better visual.

Ok, I am both enraged and elated right now My dear friend and bike building buddy since highschool, David, just gave me a parts hack that I could have used 10x over the past few years.
Apparently, if you cut an old crank arm in half, you've got a lucky 7 seatpost. The threading will fit the larger diameter tubing as well. I'm about to try this with a Goodwill donar crank.
