I like the light KF. Its similar to the light on my wbo bike that I've since removed... looking at yours makes me think about cutting a larger hole in the back of my bulb. Like you noted earlier, I only cut the old filaments out to replace with LEDs... a larger hole would allow a cluster set similar to yours...hmm.

Carl.

Really, really great work...really nice KF... My only thoughts at this juncture
relate to the color of the fork and the stem. They seem to pull my attention away from design and parts mix.....I close my eyes and see this bike with a faux-rusty stem and the fork a matching house-paint red. Very creative
and inspirational work...

GO FOR IT!

Killer light. Had thought about cutting open my sealed beam but was afraid it would shatter

Just wear protection and use the right tools and do it! I scored the cut radius a bit as I went around. I figured if it was going to crack it might follow the scored line.

Thanks man! I am waiting until I get all the mechanicals and stuff finished before any painting. My plan on the fork is to mimic the seat. I plan to paint it with some textured paint to give it a rust background. Then I will use Hammered Black to mimic the polished rust and paint 3-4 vertical stars on the upper legs followed by vertical stripes on the lower legs.

you're becoming a master wizard with the lights!

Thank you sir! It's fun to experiment with them
One of my favorites is still the flashing COLD BEER sign from BEER RUN in BO6

The Billy Beer headlight was simple but fun also.

These came in the mail today. I am planning to make my valve caps out of them.

I decided to knock out the soldering and securing of the starsNbars headlight.

I bolted a screw inside the battery holder and made it tight so that the extra length could be stuck through the shell and bolt up as part of the light bracket. I'll end up putting a backer nut that will jam up against the inside of the light shell.

Glued down the light array to the battery holder with some E6000 glue.

Then bolted up the assembly and the switch

I still need to glue down the red and white stripes, but went ahead and tested the taped down version.

Rolled starsNbars out to the courtyard and taped the light to the bars for some photos.

I just realized that there is a thin lit ring around the entire light. This happened because of the way I taped off the lense for paint. I didn't realize the light would shine this way but I really like it.

Lookin' good!
You need to take out during the 4th fireworks display and get some pics.

Sure thing! It's a shame I won't have the forks painted by then.
I am thinking about repeating the starsNbars design that I have on the light in the middle circle of the chainguard.

I love the cleanliness and simplicity of this as a juxtaposition to last years insanity. And what a cool light!!!

Thanks man. I love this wild frame and have made it a point to not do anything that takes away from the frame. Sounds like I must be doing it right.

Insanity? What insanity?? :)

Man there is no place...no place...like Savanna........such beauty abounds......especially when there is something on two wheels hanging around!
