Re: █ Flex★Liner⑦ █ TwinFlex 8/3 Dedicated to "MA" R.I.P.
Hello all of my build brothers. Flex-Liner 7 is being dedicated to my sweetheart of a grandmother "MA". She passed away just a few hours ago just a couple of months shy of 94 years old. We have been expecting the news (only just recently), but that doesn't make you any more ready for it. MA was one of those rare people that had the purest of hearts and was as close to an angel walking this earth as anyone ever knew. My brother and I were blessed to have gotten to spend most of our childhood summers with her in Carlisle, PA (before there was any car show). Peatbog and I may have even crossed bike paths back in those days. I was blessed to grow up knowing both sets of grandparents and three of my great-grandparents. That era came to an end tonight, but that ain't bad for a man of 51.
During the short time of our build off, I have followed every build that was started and I have been saddened by the amount of "real life" pain that we have shared with our brethren. I didn't expect it to hit so close to home so soon until a week and a half ago when we heard that MA's body was shutting down. But on that very same day she was having a good day and as I spoke to her on the phone, she sounded as strong as ever, and just as loving as ever as she reminded me how she passed her newborn first grandson (me) around the living room for all of her friends to share.
Just as my other build brothers have done, I will use my build for a little grief therapy and finish it off and take photos this weekend.
Cue up Will the Circle be Unbroken and raise your glasses to Mary B!
An angel that walked this earth and finally got her wings tonight! So don't be too sad, Heaven is a much brighter place now!!!
