Auction Bike #2 had a date today with the stripper  (aircraft paint stripper). Here is the result. Great patina on this one. Appears to have been originally red. Chemically stripped & ready for sandblasting next in prep for wet gloss black powder coat.

I can never get those results with aircraft stripper. How long do you leave it on?

Bike is looking good. I can't wait to see the next step.

Still need pedals, Rat Rodders. I know someone has a pair in the parts bin. They don't have to be pretty, I think we are going to powder coat them anyway

About 45 mins or whenever I feel like going out & rinsing it off. I do use a power washer though. Works better in the sun & the warmer the temp the quicker it reacts. Really cuts down on the sandblast time (least favorite activity) when you strip it first. I'm so tempted to just clearcoat it, but not gonna happen. will look great with the super gloss black. Hope to have the frame coated by the end of this weekend & then will start on the smaller parts.

Still needing pedals! :!: Help us out guys! 8)
