As I have to pick up my trailer from the campground anyway this weekend to haul some other stuff around, I'm thinking of hitting that church spot again to take some more pictures. We will see...

Good choice. My one suggestion would be to crop a little off of the top and bottom like the one in my earlier post. One less line of tiles across the top really helps bring the attention down to the bike.

Hit a literal major bump today!
Wanted to ride the trike to school today together with the kids. While crossing the park on the way there the left rear axle snapped and left me stranded.
Luckily my kids are streetworthy enough to make the rest of the trip to school on there own, while I had to push the trike on the two remaining wheels about 1 km back to it's trailer garage...
Looks like I need some heavy duty replacement axle....

That would most probably have been a good idea from the beginning on. This happening was my greatest concern from the beginning on, but somehow I pushed it aside.
At the moment I don't have time nor money
to spend on the trike, so I will haul it back to the campground, where it probably will stay until spring, before I can attend the axle issue with the necessary seriousness and patience.At the moment I'm thinking along the lines of finding me some stronger tubing with thicker walls and a fitting inner diameter to replace both axle parts. As soon as I have it back on the campground I will do some measuring... The other way would be to find someone able and willing to weld in a fitting full metal axel on both sides for an affordable price...
Anyway the trike is on hold for now and will not roll again anytime soon...

At the very least, you were able to get it finished for the deadline to enter the voting !! Still a worthy build, I’ll bet you find a way to get it back on all three ! Good luck, Great trike !

I'm already thinking of a way to get her on her feet/wheels again. But there are other more pressing matters higher up on my to do list now....
Today I hauled the trike back to the campground and took a careful look at it. I realized that it was at least partially my fault that the axle snapped. The clamp was obviously a bit to loose and worked itself outside, so that the load was upon the clamped part instead of beeing on the unslotted tubing... Bummer!
I took some careful measurements to be able to recreate the tube if it isn't available as spare part from the original company.
Now the bike sits covered in the improvised shed whiteout the rear wheels on top of my kids wheelbarrow and awaits further repairs...

I already contacted the manufacturer of the original trike. I hope to get an answer this week...
The spare part will set me back about 50€. That's the money I spent for the complete trike...
But on the other hand it will be the original part and no fumbling...
