Today I got political and participated in a protest ride. It was organized by the Berlin chapter of the German Cyclists Club (ADFC) and it meant to rise awareness of the need for bicycle friendly city and dubbed "Kreisfahrt" (circle ride) and got us around the city center on a roghly 36 km route. So far I don't know how many participated but it felt like a few hundred. As this was no critical mass the route was fixed and we were accompanied by police cyclists that cleared the intersections for us, so we could cross savely...

The whole thing ended up at Potsdamer Platz, with some final words, right underneath the (reproduction of) the first european traffic light (imported 1924 from the U.S.):
For the way back I took advantage of the end location and partially used the S-Bahn to ride home:
So with the trips to and back from the S-Bahn, I rode 44,3 km today through Berlin on the Wolverine...
