How is the bidding going to be handled?

I will set up a thread in the for sell section of only the bike and its progress pics for discussion. Then I will set up a bid only thread in the for sale section that I will start off a $100. Each bid will have to be exactly $10 from the last to count as a higher bid. That will save people from putting in 100 .01 cent bids.The biding will last for a week and the last person to bid when i stop the auction wins. Its kinda like a silent auction if you have ever been to one of those. It will be much more organized than that when it comes to it. I will have biding rules and guidelines but for now that what I'm thinking. I'm hoping Steve will lock the thread so it stays at the top so I can get the max amount of bids. It might get looked over if it get stuck at the bottom of the list.

Here it is...this is just a mock up back tire. My grandfather just ordered a white wall Thick Brick instead of the black wall he wanted for his bike , with pvwacko's permission I will give my grandfather the donated black wall as a trade. It should be here in the next few weeks. All thats left is the headlight, the chain guard painting, and making the brooks saddle lay back.

Bike looks good. I sent you the 24in wheel, so you could have the same "space" at the top of the fork to match the drawing, also to give it some forward rake..........Please, humor me. Try the 24 in on the front. If you don't like the tread pattern, maybe someone has a different 24' tire.

I'd like to see it with the 24 up front too! I think the front looks a little too big. were you guys going to shorten the rack to make it tuck around the tire? I love that handlebar and grip combo on there! I look forward to seeing the whitewalls front and rear. Great project once again guys!

No problem, we'll throw the 24" on there again and post some pics.
I should get the light from Skipton Mon-Tues. If I can get it stripped and painted I'll take it to DN later in the week.
This bike in person is looking loooooong, with 26" up front she measures a little over 6ft. I can't wait to ride it!

heheh. Awesome work guys. We have a bike!
I'm with Kota on the forward rake. That's the most important thing on this bike. (Or on any ratrodbike for that matter...) With a ratrodbike we're trying to stylize it as a hotrod, rather than a motorcycle. IMHO ofcourse. So the front wheel(s) should not be/look bigger than the one in the back. I think it's best to use any of these combo's:
- a 24" front and 24" rear
- a 24" front and 26" rear
- a 26" front and 26" rear
Hopefully that'll make the cool-looking, but very long rack point upwards in the back and down in the front... Remember the forward-rake!

But you guys have done, and are still doing a terrific job! Still can't believe we have (almost) a complete and goodlooking bike. I think I'ld choose this one over any Electra cruiser-type any time.

Hope the envelope from Holland will get there soon! Did you recieve the badge yet from Jesusjonz? Should be ready by now...
