my garage/basement office is just finally getting to a reasonable temperature for me to build models (it's hot in the summer/fall). I hope I can get some late nights down there after the kids go to bed and build my bash.

My favorite style of humor is the visual pun. I notice though that It’s too deep for people to get, I must have a twisted brain. A poor example of a visual pun is a mailbox on top of a telephone pole with “airmail“ painted on the mailbox. It should stand as itself without the label to be a good visual pun, but then few would get it. I have several in my house for years and almost no one has figured out any of them. They go un noticed or just confuse people. People are confused by the framed photo of the view out my front window that is hanging next to my front window. No one gets that. Then there is the photo of a city block that burned down in Sault Ste. Marie, Mi. in 1890. Men wandering with bowler hats and women in long skirts with button up shoes, wandering the smoking rubble where only chimneys stand. This is sepia toned, badly water stained so I burned a hole through the sky, put cracked glass that was smoked with a match into a wood frame that half of it was charred with a torch. I hung this next to our wood stove. Too me this one was obvious but no one got it. There was an old back country log bar called the “Tumble Inn” that caved in from heavy snow. I took a photo of it all tumbled in with the Tumble Inn billboard in front and a sign over the door made from birch logs. I framed this but no one got this. I have more cryptic ones like my Stuka dive bomber hanging from my smoke alarm pointing down in a dive. Someone here on RRB go it and commented on it but no one else. My favorite is to wear a beat up, torn, faded and wrinkled hat to go with my face ravaged with age. My wife got that one right away. So, as a heads up, my dumb bomb will be a visual pun. I bet no one figures it out.

@us56456712 , as soon as you say 'no one' or 'never' you leave out someone. I am a huge fan of the 'visual pun'.
On this site, written communication tends to prevail, so my puns are usually of the verbal type. And, as you have described, the visual pun really can only be best appreciated in the context of which it is placed.

Around my place, they call that "Dad" humor. For years, I've had about 2 inches of chain from a dog collar on my ring of keys. It's my keychain. Not one laugh so far
Just realized this was going on! I have to figure out what to build! I just finished this one for Etsy/show this weekend!

I've been occupied with a bunch of things going on the past few weeks. We are closing in on our last month of the Rat / Rod Model Kit Bash Challenge II. Let's see those progress reports! Carl has been hard at it on his ' mad max post apocalyptic ' Tonka build. Anybody else out there adding cool additions to their kits?
Not much progress here on my build, as I was pretty much complete with it after the first couple of weeks. Here are a few more shots of HaulinGass just for some 'forum filler'....
