Walker vs. Julesjunk Kids bike buildoff......

I, julesjunk. A humble small minded midwesterner, do so challenge Walker, a high society bicycle guru east coast English bedwetting type, to an unofficial Kids bike buildoff. Rules to follow shortly. Walker, I'll leave it to you to set the time parameters, as well as deciding if you want our...

    weekend finds.....

Went to my brother-in-laws this weekend. Always a great roadtrip for finding junky ole bikes. This trip, I promised I wouldn't buy ANY, as I currently have a storage issue. I'm sure I'm the only one with this problem :-) That being said, here's what I picked up..... Nothing terribly special...

    Tis the season.....

.......for large trash pickup. Nothing especially interesting, but it still dumbfounds me what people will throw away. Picked 13 up this week, and wasn't even trying that hard. Fun little "customized" chopper. This little tikester must of been short. Nice Raleigh. Should clean up well...

    Ross with interesting BB

Long story Long. Finally getting around to posting this. Responded to a CL ad at Christmas time. Bad picture, and even worse weather, but the seller assured me it had a brown leather seat on it. So I made the trek through ice and snow, and this is what awaited me. A junky ole Ross, with a red...

    Higgins Flightliner

Promised myself I wouldn't buy any more light or middle weight girls bikes this year. That being said, I picked this up at a flea market shop this morning. I just couldn't resist when I saw it had a perfect tank light lense. (a first for me) thanks for lookin, Jules

    Rudge.....

Picked this one up at a garage sale last week. Since getting into vintage bikes, I've wanted to own a rod brake bike. Now I do, and have no idea what to do with it. Can anyone help me date it? The S/A rear hub isn't dated. I'm wondering if that's because of the built in generator? Which...

    Last weeks finds

The first one came to me. My neighbor heard I was into bikes, and after a couple quotes from local bike shops to "fix" hers, she decided to sell it to me. My first Trike..... The second one I did a little horse trading with a fellow bike-head to get. It doesn't look like much, but it's a...

    French/Italian Bike

Snagged this one off of CL yesterday. 70's French built, Italian roadbike, I think. At least that was what I was able to come up with on the net. Not into roadbikes, but couldn't pass it up, especially with the Brooks saddle. Thanks for lookin, Jules

The Rat Stroller......painfully long post/lots of pics

Not sure if this is where I should post this, or if it's even correct for this site, but it ties in loosely with my intro and this last Labor Day...... Back at the beginning of April, I started my "intro" thread to this site, including talk regarding a stroller I was starting to build for my...

    Pair of old ones

Picked these up yesterday off of CL. Not exactly sure what I have here. Seems a Pullman is somewhat rare? Difficult to find net info on it. I'm guessing 1939 or 40??? If anyone has a pick of a more complete one, or thoughts on age, I'd appreciate it. Had to buy them as a pair...

    My latest find, and obsession..........

Rough and incomplete, but lots of potential. I believe it's about a 1920 Columbia Westfield. At least that's what the seller felt it was.

    Flea Market Freebies ??

These two came my way today. They were at a local flea market, marked 'free'.?!? :? Confused, but happy. A Hawthorne, and a WF. Pulled the 1960's D battery out, and replaced it with a new.....honk, honk. Fixed the 'hotrod' handlebars, and she's ready to ride.

    Firebolt.....

This one came to me yesterday. Fun little bike. First bike I've encountered that has a rear tray welded as part of the frame.

    Greyhound Banana Seat find........ ??

Just ran this one down. Only a couple blocks away from me. What do I have?? I think under all the customizing over the years, this was a pretty cool bike. What I do know. Model D New Departure hub. Straight forks. Unusual design at the kickstand mounting location. Had a front fender light...

    Schwinn Springer....

Went to try to buy an old Honda motorcycle this morning, and ended up coming home with this. Just blind dumb luck. The bike was laying beside his garage. Good thing to, as the Honda was junk, and I drove 50 miles each way. If anyone cares to tell me what exactly I have, I'd appreciate it...

    2 bikes, 3 seats........... schwinn ??'s

Picked this pair up today off Craigslist. Thanks for lookin..... The Suburban is a GG code, july of 71. I've not seen the gold anodized head badge before. I like it! I'm assuming the tandem is mid 70's, but I can't find a VIN on it anywhere. Not on the headstem, not on the BB's, not on the...

    1940 find.....

Picked this one up today. Comes with a bitter-sweet story. The lady must of been in her early eighties. She said she was 4 years old during the depression. The bike was purchased new for her sister in 1940 from Montgomery Wards. I asked why she thought it was a 1940. She said, "I don't think...

Fresh find (sort of) J C Higgins

Picked this up about 4 weeks ago, and never got around to posting it. Now I'm trying to date it, along with a friends. Any help on either would be greatly appreciated. Also, looking for parts for mine. I posted this in the "wanted" section. Here's mine, a JCH Colorflow. BB reads: (I think)...

1 1/3rd bikes, sort of, and bonus parts......

Neighbor of a friend of mine has been feeding me bikes and parts from his fathers estate for nearly a month now. Seems we are finally at the end. Here's the final take. Need help IDing a couple of the parts. This little Sears tank bike is really cool in my opinion. It's already found a home with...

    Package Tray/Carrier help......

This was bolted on the back of a early 50's smaller girls Schwinn I picked up not too long ago. Sorry, no pics of the bike (can, if needed). The bike was basically complete, and in it's original blue paint. The tray is how I found it (raw). I'm assuming it didn't originally come with the...
